About Us
The Maple Hill Cemetery Association is a non-profit organization located in the rolling hills of Hanover Township, Luzerne County, in northeastern Pennsylvania. For over 150 years, we have provided a beautiful setting where families can lay their loved ones to rest.
Maple Hill Cemetery is endowed with rich natural beauty and comprehensive facilities for either burial or cremation. Our charming neo-Gothic Chapel offers an intimate setting in which funeral services may be held. The building also houses a Crematorium as well as indoor and outdoor Columbarium.
Maple Hill Cemetery Association offers many options for burial and commemoration in a range of prices and styles to meet everyone’s needs. Many of our families choose to make use of our cremation services at either our main cemetery site or our satellite location in Archbald, Pennsylvania, near Scranton.
The Cemetery and Crematory are non-denominational. Over 10,000 people have been buried at Maple Hill, and each has been laid to rest with dignity and respect, according to their chosen faith.
Maple Hill Cemetery has become the final resting place for eight generations of families with connections to the Wilkes-Barre area. We remain committed to offering compassion and comfort to each succeeding generation and to preserving our buildings, grounds and monuments as fitting tributes to the memories of those who have gone before us.
